Winery Tasting Notes
This Bordeaux style blend (55% cabernet sauvignon, 35% merlot, 10% cabernet franc) exhibits wonderful
fruit and tannin structure. A bouquet of licorice
and toast, full-bodied with intense but rounded
black berry and cassis flavors. It will benefit
from further aging in the bottle.

Beverage Testing Institute 9/99
90 Deep, saturated ruby purple. Generous mint, black fruit, and vanilla aromas show modest wood influence. A firm attack leads a moderately full-bodied palate, with big, velvety tannins. Full, rich, deep, and packed with flavor. Drink now or later.

Food & Wine's Official Wine Guide 2000
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot that reminds us of a classified-growth Médoc. It has complex aromas of chocolate, black currants, black cherries, and plums as well as spice, vanilla, and earth notes. Abundant tannin and solid acidity create the balance necessary for a long, graceful bottle maturation.

New York Times, November 14, 1999
Dark, huge, almost a stew; lovely flavors in its deepest fathoms; fairly smooth, with some gritty tannins; muscular, brawny...

"Superior Bordeaux blend in excellent balance." -- July, 2000 - Joseph Nase, Sommelier at Lespinasse
